Write a 10 page paper
Read a chapter from Joseph Rychlak’s detailed presentation of each theory in his Personality and Psychotherapy book. Each chapter is approximately 30 pages in length.
Then read Viktor Frankl’s Man’s Search for Meaning. The first part of this book details his experiences in the Nazi concentration camps. The second part of the book presents his Logotherapy and general view of mankind.
Write a 10-page paper (double spaced) reflecting on Frankl’s experiences in the camps while also comparing and contrasting Freud’s or Jung’s view of mankind with that of Frankl (e.g., is mankind best understood mechanistically, as Freud’s theory implies?)
